Come meet Josie Blumberg, a new intern at WFC. She will tell us about the swing dance called the Lindy Hop. This dance was a cultural phenomenon in the United States, breaking through the race barrier when segregation was prevalent.
Our second hour will involve a dumpling (gyoza) cooking demonstration and, of course, eating the finished product!

Let’s explore the story behind the recent smash hit, “In this Corner of the World”! We’ll watch a 20-minute English video detailing the making of the anime movie. We’ll follow that up with discussion on the movie’s setting in Hiroshima and Kure during World War ll.

Let’s make marmalade together!!

We’ll make daidai (Seville orange) marmalade together- scooping, slicing, squeezing, boiling, bubbling, testing, and bottling. Then we’ll finish with English tea and marmalade on toast. And we’ll each take a jar home.
