Getting to WFC Guest House from Hiroshima Station:

Public transportation is easy, or a taxi can be used. Taxis are around ¥2000 (during normal hours) and take about 15 minutes. Cash is accepted, and most accept credit cards as well (confirm with driver).  Throughout Hiroshima, Uber can be used, but your ride will be provided by a Taxi regardless).  If light on luggage, it can be walked in about 55 minutes (2.4 miles) and can include a walk by the Atomic-Bomb Dome and through the peace park.

Public Transportation

The #6 streetcar leaves from just outside Hiroshima Station (end of the line, so it only goes the correct direction).

Exit the # 6 streetcar at the Funairi-hon-machi stop (one stop after the similarly named Funairi-Machi Stop). We are located about 200 meters from this stop.

The fare is ¥240, payable as you leave the streetcar (use an attended exit - the driver on a small car, or a larger car has attendants front & rear. Change is not given, but there is a changer at the exit that takes ¥1000 notes, and coins).

The route will take you through the main center of town, and also past the A-Bomb Dome. The ride will take about 28 minutes, and during a weekday, they run about every 10-15 minutes.

To walk from Funairi-hon-machi stop to the WFC guesthouse, backtrack to the large intersection the streetcar just crossed (at the large green “Gulliver” sign). Cross the main road, and then turn right, followed by a quick left. The WFC guesthouse is the 2nd building on the right.

Getting to WFC from Peace Memorial Museum:

Proceed west on Peace Blvd. Cross over the first river, and immediately turn left. Continue walking south along the river passing the next bridge, until you pass a sandlot playground on your right (about 400 meters). Turn right and walk one block, and take a left onto the next street. Continue 1 full block past the Kanzaki Elementary School, cross the next street, and we are in the 4 story building on the south-east corner of the next street, across from a parking lot.

The entrance is a glass door on the right side of the building. Use the stairs or elevator to proceed to the 4th floor. Note that currently we do not have very much signage on the outside of the building - but we are there!
